EveNSteve are finishing works in their newest series that is vibrantly colored and features hidden, secret messages. Of course, having hidden messages presents new problems for reproduction purposes! This morning you see Steve here experimenting with different kinds of light to figure out how to photograph these elusive details in the works. The work featured here is entitled "Menace me not."


 EveNSteve's newest artworks feature the locations and light of Cape Cod, Upper Michigan and Vermont. In the creation of these works, we have been thinking a lot about fairy tales, and the unique manner in which they can combine the sublime, the pastoral and the menacing.

As we prepare to apply for the latest round of residencies in the coming weeks, we will be finishing printing, inscribing and photographing these works for inclusion on our website as well as grant and residency applications- but the BEST way to experience these works is in person!
